Well yeah,

maybe, its like this:

a numberplate on a car, one may check out the year of the car to see what year it was made (what model/year it was made in)...

but when I think of these numbers meaning things, instead of seeing it as it actually is, I would make up my own perception....

its just got to the brain and psychology.
