I tried Nutmeg a number of times when I was a teenager. Two of those times, I did enough to really feel the effects. (The rest were much lower dosages and were inconclusive)
First time I basically choked down a whole tin of Nutmeg, determined to see what this was all about. It was very hard to get down and there were horrible burbs, but once it kicked in hours later I loved it. It felt like a strong pot high with a psychedelic added. I was couch locked and when I looked into dark corners I saw mild, slowly unfolding, designs. Took forever to kick in but lasted all day strongly. I was one excited teenager. Even with the ordeal of getting it down, it was a great high. Like an even better pot. Feeling a little like smoking pot on the comedown of acid, which I love.
However. The next day I had the most horrible hangover of my life. The legal highs books had warned of a bad hangover, but nothing could have prepared me for this. Fuzzy and headachey, my whole body, especially my joints, hurt and ached terribly.
I tried it one more time at a lesser dose and got a lesser high, it was more along the strength of a regular pot high. Still felt superior and I still liked it. But, the hangover was still very bad and I never did it again.
I wrote it off as a nice high, but not worth the terrible hangover. Both times, I did it first thing in the morning. High at lunch and hitting the peak at supper. Prolly 6-7 hours after that till bed and that was ~ 16 hours after ingestion.
I did read online about a guy who did Nutmeg at a dose of one heaping tablespoon every morning. Since it takes so long to kick in and lasts so long he said that what he got was a slowly increasing effect over a week or so.
