For the OHT book project (and for the entheogenic university in general) something that I believe will be necessary is some kind of general and well worded disclaimer.

I know in the intro we sort of state our purpose and later on we repeat certain disclaimers for the dose-ranges etc. But perhaps something more generic that we could put like smack on the first page after the title?

What should this disclaimer contain?

- We are not responsible for the actions of those who read this text
- We do not encourage drug use
- We do not suggest that dose-ranges listed in this text are safe
- We do not encourage illegal activities

what else?


The disclaimer would be in the OHT book as well as on the oht.me webpage, and if general enough I would also put it on the entheogenic university page, once there is one.

Perhaps utilise a "pop up page" (kind of like the new cookies disclaimers we see all over the net) mentioning that the site is to be accepted "as-is", that any further use of the site beyond the disclaimer, by a visitor, is thereby accepting the agreement in hand, thus indicating an understanding that no illicit drug use is condoned and the responsibility of any action taken based any on information found therein lies with the visitor.

Stating clearly that the information offered is intended for theoretical research and anyone who does not accept this should not proceed further.

Obviously the wording should be a lot better (Sorry, having a hard day today), closer matching enoons format with maybe these few additions inserted :thumb_up:
 
Here with an extra sentence concerning the suggestion of ZenSpice and two minor edits. BTW at the moment the major concern is the disclaimer for the book. For the webpage it is a different matter and surely can be adapted once the book-version is done.

While my legalese is admittedly rusty I reckon that sounds quite good..

May I humbly make one small suggestion..

Changing "The herein contained information" to "The information contained herein".

I am most intrigued to find out more about this book, as and when it is available I would love to purchase a copy (signed by the traveler perhaps hehehe)

Lol, you can read all about it in the links in my signature. Also funny that you would want his signature even though he's not one of the authors...

I just wanted to say, why does he want my signature and not yours or one of the other authors?

I did not write any part of that special book, most of it is done by Enoon. The other authors are well mentioned in the book itself btw.

If I would ever get an OHT book, I would like to have one with the signature of Enoon on it (hint), and none other. ;)

My apologies, I had not ventured deep enough to read more about this book as yet.

I figured as the site admin.. well... lol silly ol' presumptuous me, 'nuff said.

I'd love signatures from the authors and if/as/when it is available in hardcopy I'd definitely be up for a purchase (just visited site and downloaded e-copy 'fulltext alpha').

I'm celebrating birthday weekend with friends (and being anti social by coming online lol) but I shall venture back on to read more about this after the weekend.

Once again apologies for my presumptions and best of luck with your book Enoon & Co ;)
