Shadowlord
Rising Star
This thread may need to get moved to A/B but I wasn't sure where it fit best.
I have a jug of Aqueous mimsosa solution. I acidified during the simmers although I do not know if I acidified enough.
I took collected soaks and reduced and basified and extracted and only got a 1/4 of expected yeild although it was nice spice.
Since I am not able to break the bark as well as I probably should ( will buy powder next time ) or may be didn't acidify enough I knew there was a lot of spice left. So I dried and froze the remaining solids and broke up a little more and then just did an STB on the remains and got a good deal of the missing spice and it was even very nice quality as I got a lot of the sludge out during the cooks.
BUt here is my question. I have 2 jugs full of basified Mimosa tea that I would like to reduce. I figure since it is basic, that if I use heat I will degrade the DMT to n,n DMT.
Can I re-acidify and then reduce and then basify again?
If I use HCl then the neutralization should only result in salt yes?
just some thoughts I am pondering as I have been working on old jugs of material that I hadn't gotten around to tossing and have scraped up another 3-4 g of good elf spice for my efforts. Don't want to waste the magic. Have to make the bark last so that we don't overharvest the source!
I for one do not want to be doing phalaris grass extractions hweheheh.
