This is from the June 2003 issue of HighTimes.

Take

6 - 10 cloves of garlic
1 jalapeno pepper
1 - 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper

Put these into a blender and fill with water.

Blend well and strain through a cheese cloth.

Pour the strained mix into a spray bottle and 1/8 teaspoon of Ivory dish soap per quart.

Wear latex gloves and make sure not to rub your eyes.

Spray liberally, especially on the undersides of the leaves, then the top and then the rest of the plant.

You don't have to worry about excess reaching the soil.

Interesting recipe. Have you tried this yourself? I have been inundated with Spider mites in greenhouse grows of the past. Very hard to get rid of and they come back with a vengeance very quickly.

I haven't used it myself but I've had some friends say it works great.

There are a couple of things you could add to make it more effective. One is a bit of neem oil and the second is pyrethum from the crystathimum plants. Either of these additions will guarantee no more pests for awhile.

or just use the neem or pyrethrum alone, lol

regardless, be sure to spray at least 3 times over a week to 10 days
