I was extracting mescaline with xylene, then acid water, then I basified water (testing if this could precipitate), didnt happen, so I evaporated the water (with FreeBase Mesc) and at the end (no more water) I kept heating (by mistake) and when I saw the Mesc was like a light blue doing bubles (because the heat above)...
Anyone (If understood my xperience) could say What kind of reaction was It? Because I have seen brown or orange mescaline after this proces but never blue.
Maybe some condensation reaction?
I can remember organic chem, when i had to made aspirine and some polymer forms as 2nd product in some stage, and It was like a gum as "my" product.
Also I remember when I had to made some colorant . I learned that resonating molecules, specially when nitrogen forms some double bonds like imines or azides (I dont remember well), and Mescaline has this aromatic ring, MeO- groups and -NH2 ...
Also Im interested in if I could use It safely or if anyone can tell me How to turn back the reaction.
I will attach some pics later because Im waiting for the dried final product (and maybe this will solve the problem).
