Looks pro as fuck. Is SWIY using a hepafilter?

Yeeuh suun!

Been holdin' it down for over 5 years now.

Never used hepas b/c they're expensive & I feel that they are unnecessary. Lysol & oust are good, though.

Hmm... so you're using Lysol & oust instead of a hepafilter with good results?

hepa filters for myco cultivation are a luxuary - not required tho.

Yeah I realize that. I am curious how good the results (with lysol) would compare to using a hepafilter.

Basically I'll give it to you plain & simple: it's not that I'm using disinfectants instead of a hepa, but rather, as SWI Phlux stated, that hepa filtration devices are not necessary in many cases where mycological applications are being practiced. If your laboratory/grow area is kept neat & clean, and if you adhere to basic sanitation logic (i.e.: disinfecting hands before sticking them into your grow chamber, keeping pets/animals out of your grow space, providing sufficient air circulation WITHOUT open windows, etc.), then you will rarely encounter problems involving infection. Keep in mind, however, that I am not only somewhat of a "clean-freak", but have OCD as well (although not the variation offered by the film "What About Bob"), and therefore may view "neat and clean" differently than some. My tribesmen, on the other hand, have experienced very similar results, and none of them own the aforementioned conditions that I do. When you get a feel for how a mycological network "works" these types of things become, more or less, common sense.
