What is known about this plant? The seeds have an interesting varied alkaloid profile..there is no information on the percentage of alkaloids that I could find.
Acetylcholinesterase inhibitive activity-guided isolation of two new alkaloids from seeds of Peganum nigellastrum Bunge by an in vitro TLC- bioautographic assay - Archives of Pharmacal Research

In further studies to seed of P. nigellastrum Bunge, activity-guided fractionation led to the isolation of two new alkaloids nigellastrine I (9) and nigellastrine II (10), and along with eight known alkaloids, vasicinone (1), vasicine (2), harmine (3), deoxyvasicinone (4), deoxyvasicine (5), harmaline (6), harmol (7), harman (8), in which harmol and harman were first isolated from species P. nigellastrum Bunge

This plant is extremely reminiscent to nigella sativa.. a plant with very powerful medicinal and tonic effects. Over 100 different compounds including acetylcholinesterase inhibitive activity, thymoquinone, nigellone, nutrients, minerals, etc.

Peganum nigellastrum.

The activity of peganum nigellastrum is interesting. In aerial parts, harmine/harmaline/harmol/harman is there. Many beneficial compounds regarding human health such as visicine. The whole plant is health promoting but also can be toxic in excess. If enough seeds were at hand, you could acquire a crude extract and use it with changa instead of the caapi. A overall look into the total alkaloid availability is required, though.
