There seems to be a lot of confusion about this abundant plant. Most importantly, it's hard to find any recent experimentation/results with it. So, in an effort to inform and collaboratively crack the mystery, I've decided to start a thread on my extraction findings as they happen. I plan on running several different extraction methods to see which produces the highest yield.

Day 1:
I've found that harvesting in the early morning produces a higher yield. The younger the plant, the better the yield. Early this morning (Pic 1)
Within 15-30 minutes of harvest, cut the grass (leaves/stems) into a manageable size, and place into the freezer for about two hours. (Pic 2)
Pull the frozen matter out of the freezer and cut into even smaller source material and place back into the freezer for another 2 hours. (Pic 3)
Again, remove the material from the freezer and blend it into a fine mulch. (Pic 4) (.6 Kilograms or 1.3 lbs of working material). I've found that a blender works best for this. I've used a juicer but the results with material and yield seem to be less. Blend down as good as you can, leaving larger chunks is fine as the base solution will break it down even further. Place back into the freezer overnight.
This first step is rather messy and takes about 2 hours cumulatively to harvest, cut and blend.
Till tomorrow
