Clarify please. Pure freebase spice is white or pale yellow all the way to brown depending on purity. What bright color do you mean.

Sorry if that was too vague.

What I mean is, pulling the spice with naphtha turned the solvent a typical bright yellow. Once all the spice has been precipitated out, does the solvent stay yellow?

i was wondering the same thing. After a week of freeze precip swim sees no more crystals yet the NP is still yellow, albeit a lighter shade. He thought about evapping the remaining NP to 50% and freeze precip the rest, thinking theres still more spice in it. Then he thought it might be oils giving it that pale yellow color and decided to just reuse the NP in subsequent extractions.

Since pure spice is white, he suspects its oils and other alkaloids that result in the tint of yellow. If this is true, then it would seem that the reuse of the NP over and over would yield more and more oils/alkaloids mixed with the spice and white spice would be harder and harder to get.

Anxious to hear other opinions/experiences with regard to reusing NP over and over.

Yeah dmt is white/transparent, yellow should be other plant oils and what not. But in any case it is possible that there is still some DMT there. What you can do is reuse the naphtha a few times, then evaporate down to almost the end and freeze again or evap all the way and recrystallize the goo that is left. And before throwing away the mimosa mix, I suggest doing at least one more pull with fresh unused solvent at the end, a long pull of a couple of days mixing once in a while, and freezing that. If DMT still comes out, then keep pulling.
