I truly believe the only way to preserve many of the psychoactive botanicals so loved by the entheogenic community is to cultivate them and spread their genetics around the world. Below is a list of ethnobotanicals which are believe are in serious need of preservation.

Coatl..are you growing cebil/yopo??did you germinate seeds?? I am having some toruble withthe seeds right after they germinate..they seem to rot easily..have any tips?

Interesting... I did not realise so many of the plants important to amazonian shamanic cultures are so high risk. Also did not think Mimosa was either. Well, I am doing my best to cultivate what I can in my London flat!! Yearning for a place with a greenhouse now tho... or a different climate.
BTW I just had a chacruna seed germinate after about 3 months. No idea if it is "True" or not.

I purchased live plants of Anadenanthera colubrina var. cebil from two vendors- Sacred Succulents and Green Man Gardens.

This is not to say that the plants are at risk in their natural habitat but that they are rare in cultivation or are at risk of becoming restricted by law.

However, some botanicals such as Lophophora cacti are endangered in their natural range and are in dire need of cultivation to save the biodiversity of the genus!
