Plastic containers for storage of base solution?

Migrated topic.

From what SWIM has read across the boards indicates that keeping his base solution in
big glass mason jars for too long is a bad thing.

SWIM is wondering what type of plastic is safe to store these solutions in for future xylene pulls?

I answered my own question. One can use High-density polyethylene containers... aka Milk Jugs and tupperware. I guess I can dispose of my base solutions by neutralizing with vinegar...

What would the byproducts of acetic acid + NaOH be? HCl is clearly safe (NaCl + H20), just wondering what we would have in this case?

Mimosa slop makes great drain cleaner without any treatment. The gloopyness of the mixture makes it better for cleaning purposes than raw NaOH:)
