Rising Star
I'm a man of plants and spirit,
This year I started doing ayahuasca. Befriended a guy who had already done it quite a lot and wanted to start making his own brew. So I teamed up and have learned quite a bit since.
Three times thusfar and the first time was really terrible. I was turned upside down, inside out for weeks after.
Second time was better, but in the end it came to a very slow (simulation) of death. Something I wasn't particular prepared for. But I managed (in the end).
Third time was actually nice and soothing.
Anyway, we had no shaman. Something I haven't been able to afford for one, going to a ceremony has always been out of my budget. I live on the edge, though I am not likely to fall down.
This friend presented me a unique chance. And I do have some flexibility when it comes to situations that go beyond every day consciousness.
Since starting ayahuasca life has become a rollercoaster. I'm into ancestors, and mine were a mess. Synchronities started popping up and some incidents occured that had a very sorcerous smell to it. Currently things are settling a bit down after a very turbulent period. I will drink again, but am waiting it out at the moment.
Before, like 12 years, I already used mushrooms, salvia divinorum, peganum harmala and marihuana. Also tried chemicals & RC's, but found out plants are my thing. Smoked DMT a few times now, but still have to find a nice experience on it.
Moderate though, I am not the hardhead that uses every week some heavy psychedelic and still manages to keep shut up.
Lately I read Pinchbeck's book on breaking open the head. And I like his outlook, but not his way of handling things. Discipline, or method are paramount (to me) for keeping things from going haywire. Methods like yoga and tai ji are the daily stuff I use as mortar to solidify my reality construct. Without them I wouldn't have come all this way.
In the near future I hope to introduce to san pedro and iboga. Though I did a mild trip on the latter, which was very very fascinating.
Well that's it for now.
