Possible Alien invasion incoming?

Astronomers are tracking an object entering our solar system that appears to be showing indications of intelligence.
Independence Day incoming?

The following is the abstract from this paper:

At this early stage of its passage through our Solar System, 3I/ATLAS, the recently discovered interstellar interloper, has displayed various anomalous characteristics, determined from photometric and astrometric observations. As largely a pedagogical exercise, in this paper we present additional analysis into the astrodynamics of 3I/ATLAS, and hypothesize that this object could be technological, and possibly hostile as would be expected from the ’Dark Forest’ resolution to the ’Fermi Paradox’. We show that 3I/ATLAS approaches surprisingly close to Venus, Mars and Jupiter, with a probability of ≲0.005%. Furthermore the low retrograde tilt of 3I/ATLAS’s orbital plane to the ecliptic offers various benefits to an Extra-terrestrial Intelligence (ETI), since it allows the object access to our planet with relative impunity. The eclipse by the Sun from Earth of 3I/ATLAS at perihelion, would allow it to conduct a clandestine reverse Solar Oberth Manoeuvre, an optimal high-thrust strategy for interstellar spacecraft to brake and stay bound to the Sun. An optimal intercept of Earth would entail an arrival in late November/early December of 2025, and also, a non-gravitational acceleration of ∼5.9×10−5 au⁢day−2, normalized at 1 au from the Sun, would indicate an intent to intercept the planet Jupiter, not far off its path, and a strategy to rendezvous with it after perihelion.

If it is some kind of spacefaring, intelligently controlled vessel similar to the UFOs on earth, then it's traveling very slowly in comparison to what the ones here can supposedly do. I would guess that it's either a misidentification or some kind of disinformation. Also, it seems like even that paper doesn't make the claim with high confidence.

I'm not trying the rain on the parade; I'm a true believer when it comes to alien life. I'm just not sure this is what it's being made out to be.

I do not think it's more likely to be an alien object than Omuamua was (but I also don't think the UFO phenomenon has anything to do with aliens), but it's still interesting. Thanks for the paper!
Are you on the skeptical side regarding the UFO phenomenon, or do you have an even more esoteric explanation for what it may be? I've heard theories relating to the interdimensional, humans from the future, and beyond. I've been interested in the topic forever, and I still don't have a solid grasp on the origin.

I'm personally more on the skeptical side, I think a lot of evidence would be needed before accepting that the phenomenon (or phenomena) is due to extraterrestrial presence on Earth. That doesn't mean I'm set on a given explanation.

But as there are different phenomena, I think they may be due to different causes. For example, the objects that have been seen by many people at once seem likely to be a different phenomenon than abduction experiences. The abduction phenomenon is quite interesting to me and I see it as mysterious. Even if it were only psychological, that doesn't diminish how weird it is in my eyes, and even more when compared with certain DMT experiences.

So to me it's an error to jump on believing that it's aliens, and I don't see it as a very likely hypothesis. But I don't have a global explanation for the phenomenon, and I think it probably calls for different explanations in different cases.

As an anecdote, my grandfather apparently saw something that he believes was an alien when he was a child. He doesn't like to talk about it at all, my grandmother had to tell me the story herself, and he confirmed that it's accurate, so I don't think he's making up his experience.

Apparently he was playing inside some big drain pipes (for the rain) and he saw a what appeared to be a tiny man with bright red shoes. The man told him to not be scared, that he was just a traveler from very far away, but that he shouldn't tell anyone, and left after some moments (my grandfather did tell his parents after the fact but they just didn't believe him, he also told his friends). Many years later one of his friends sent him an old newspaper cutting about some object seen in the sky around the date he saw whatever that was, and that's the reason he believes it was an alien. I don't really know what to think about the whole situation, but it's nevertheless an interesting story.

I think aliens are already here. Given how little our sense organs can capture, we simply don't see them.
The same reasoning applies to nature spirits and all so-called supernatural phenomena. UFOs are common in amazonian shamanism and church iconography.
They've been here forever and may just represent lifeforms on a different plane of existence. We can see and interact with them if sensitive enough.
This Universe is much more vast and magical than what we imagine it to be.

I think that's a perfectly reasonable way to think about it. I can't honestly say I know what's going on, so defaulting to a position of skepticism is probably a safer bet.

That is some wild stuff. It makes you wonder. We have a mountain of anecdote, but the public is still lacking the key piece of evidence that could properly engage everyone's curiosity.

I would align with this kind of belief. For me, interdimensional beings on earth would be far from the craziest thing.

i hear about a possible fake invasion they been talking about for a while
william cooper - William Cooper - behold a pale horse
had a book posted above talks about a project called bluebeam where they will try use it as a form of control

for sure there is life outside of earth... I think they are more interdimentinal or they already been hear long long ago and has positions of power
and or we are apart of them like Sumerian Tablets talks about what holds some significance to me why would they make this story up if it was a lie

they must also be many classes of them one guy credo mutwa has some interesting views to share also

project bluebeam

If dmt has taught me anything…it’s to consciously activate my heart in the face of fear. End of story ♥️

Aliens aside, one thing I am rather certain of is that if the military and the government could come up with a big scam to trick everybody, they would definitely do it and love nothing better. they would do it just to see if they could. They would do it to the P Diddy level.

I have always said I would "do it if I get one of those neat outfits and a big thing to put on your head" (S/) but now that they might actually be staging, I think also the 250 million and a big thing to put on my head that has lights in it. Like my big gay juicy alien brain glows in the dark!

It would be easier to imagine other possibilities, were it not for our proximity to the US Govt.
😉

I will hold onto my opinion. I shall not unleash.

I will however share a fun story.

I lived in Colorado for many years. One of the most beautiful places I have ever been in Colorado is the San Luis valley. The valley is a hotspot for UFO activity. Located in the valley is The Great Sand Dunes National Park, Colorado Gators (yep.. there is an alligator farm in Colorado) and just down the road is a place called the UFO Watchtower. If you ever find yourself in Southern Colorado be sure to check out all three of these places. I have been to these place multiple times in my life and always have a great time.

So me and a good buddy decide to take a camping trip down in the valley for a weekend. I had a bunch of mushrooms, whiskey and beer and we was good to go. We go down, set up camp, wait til the sun goes down and start drinking some booze. We were feeling good and just in a great mood. Our plan was to stay up late and look at the night sky for UFOs or simply just to enjoy the big sky. Gorgeous magnificent big sky in that valley! We go up on the tower and sit down with our drinks and are laughing and chit chatting with other camper that are there, there was like 10 people there and we were all passing around joints and bowls. Everyone is cool.

So one of the guys on the tower stands up and is like "Ok.. it's time." I am immediately like "oh this is gonna be good!" This dude is like a brainiac super smart guy that likes to smoke weed. Think Val Kilmer in the movie 'Real Genius'. So he asks everyone to help and everyone gladly agree. He goes down to his RV and comes out with the giant speaker and places it facing straight up in the air. He then start blasting this weird and slightly creepy space music. He says "Aliens love this shit! We are going to call the aliens to us!". He goes back into the RV but this time emerging with about 40 helium mylar balloons, some fishing line and then hands out laser pointers to everyone.

He ties the balloons to the fishing line and hands me the balloons and line. He instructs me to let go of the balloons and hold onto the line, slowly allowing the balloon to rise high into the air. The balloons get to a certain point in the sky and he says "ok stop." He instructs everyone to point their laser pointers at the balloons. The lasers were hitting the balloons and shooting off in every direction. So this giant speaker is blaring weird alien music and a laser light show up in the sky. He says " OK. now everyone call them in with your mind!"

I am not sure that my mind could call anything at that point but I did make an attempt. We all sat there laughing and waiting for aliens to arrive and they never did. I have the thought that the aliens may have been actually avoiding us. LOL

I do have a video of this whole thing on my old phone. :alien:

Oh shit, Avi Loeb is at it again. Surely there will be another book for him to sell. The "alien probe" Oumuamua wasn't profitable enough for him.

Just a pedagogical exercise huh? When will Harvard learn? Think of how many children will become astrologists instead of astronomers thanks to this grifter.
