Reading around i noticed something that may be usefull - ppl touched on it at different forums but the discussion didnt get very far.
If one were to say have hot heptane loaded with spice - and then poured it onto water of the correct ph and allowed the heptane to evap - could it be possible to have the spice rain down as precipitates ?
simmilar to this idea with salvia Salvianornin extraction idea - Salvia Divinorum - Welcome to the DMT-Nexus
Even perhaps with acetone in place of the heptane.

Well, spice precipitates and crystallises out of aqueous basic solutions (no other solvents) so yes, it would work.

i was under the impression that water impeded crystal growth, although i've rocked up red using a similar method.

are you proposing something like a backwards fasa, making the crystals form underwater, followed by dumping and drying of the water? I think you'd get really pure spice but i question if it will form pretty shards
