First, I am aware of Rizatriptans negative interaction with MAOI’s.

My mother is a long time sufferer of migraines. I recently looked into the medication she takes for it, Rizatriptan which is essentially dmt, in chemical structure. Reading into the pharmacology I discovered it is a 5-HT 1A agonist, she also describes very similar side effects as I get from harmalas. I was wondering if anyone here has heard of or had any success treating migraines with harmala alkaloids? She is usually hospitalized for one week a year because her liver becomes swollen, most likely from eating ibuprofen like an drug addict. I would very much like to get her off ibuprofen and Rizatriptan, being replaced by CBD and possibly harmalas.

LSD is the one for headaches.
Afterall that was the main use of ergot alkaloids before tripping :P

So many people report having 70% of their migraines gone after just 3 days in nutritional ketosis, maybe try the ketogenic diet?
I second that.
