Precipitation issues - too much naptha again?

Hi all,

Following a tek that advised to add 150ml naptha to 100g finely shredded mhrb with 600ml water amd 100g lye. Used this before succesfully but getting poultry amounts of crystal on freeze precip. Running 12 jars as described above and first pull yielded just under a gram....

Im wondering if there is too much naptha, 150 ml seems like alot, are all the goodies suspended in the naptha? Crossing fingers hoping the bark isnt bunk! If anyone can help would really appreciate it!

One way to find out if you are, evap it at room temp until it becomes cloudy. See how much naphtha you gotta get rid of before you get clouding. Using too much Naphtha is a very common mistake. No worries. If its in there, getting it out is only a matter of time.
 
ye it took a couple of pulls to saturate the naptha sufficiently, swim was using two lots of napthat alternating between jar and freezer so there was a hell of alot to saturate before any would precip.
 
Are you heating it before pulling and running it through the basic solution for a solid 5 minutes with it all warmed up?

Also it seems to be much easier to let it all sit and work for a day before pulling.
