Yesterday, I decided to listen to a different song than my current favorite for travelling. (my current fave btw is "Weightless," by Miranda. That there is one brilliant Swedish girl!)

Anyway, my choice of alternate was unfortunate, and I felt myself going somewhere unpleasant; so I took off the headphones and spoke the name of a place to which I have been invited back on a previous occasion. The idea was to quickly divert myself to someplace good.

And it was, such a good place! My trips lately have not involved visuals at all, focusing instead on raw experiential sensation, if that makes sense. I was there with the entity I had met before. We were very joyful. It appeared that either gravity was variable, or else we were on the brink of some kind of air vent, because when I moved (physically IRL) forward and held out my arms, they were lifted literally up and around in a circle. This was not volitional movement on my part at all, and my arms were actually moving. I was like, whee! and was just about to see what else I could do there, when a car drove by outside my building with its stereo blasting what may be the ugliest song I have ever heard. The spell was instantly broken, dammit. I'm hoping to go back after work today. I'll keep you posted.

I was once knocked out of an Aya peak by a car alarm. Part of the reason I moved to the woods.

...but on the other hand, having a trip rudely interrupted can sometimes help you to recall the core parts of the experience. Coming down gently allows you to drift away from your memory of it...
