Rising Star
Hi everybody,

I returned to DMT today after a 3 week break period; I felt I needed this break to review my intentions and decide whether or not this substance can help me. I had major expectations the first times I tried it, and I realized that would only hold me back.

Now back to this morning; I felt a "call", so I loaded my machine with about 10 or 15 mg [my scale seems to have a problem with quantities lower than 0.02g, so I can't tell for sure]. A 30 minute period of meditation followed, and then I cleared it in 2 hits (not before stating my intentions loudly and asking the substance to be gentle with me), laid back and closed my eyes. In about 40 seconds or so, I was transported to a "wizardly" scene, there was some kind of huge vortex forming in the middle of the sky, and below it there was a village or something like it. The village itself didn't seem very important, as it was mostly blurred out. I sensed there was something about to be happening, so I "expanded my vision". This is the closest I can describe it, because it wasn't like turning your head, I just wished it into expansion. To the left of the village a sketch-like figure appeared, and it looked like an old sorcerer of some sorts. To the right of the village, a colored figure of a sorcerer on top of a small castle (more of part of the castle) was extending one of his arms towards the village. I remember asking what did this mean, and an ethereal face emerged from the sky over the village. The vortex was gone by now. After a couple of seconds of "suspension", the face simply dropped onto the houses, and broke to a simple design of some circles interconnected by lines. The whole scene disappeared at that point. I perceived this as "be more united with each other" type of message.

Intrigued by what I saw, I loaded the pipe, this time with 20mg. In 2 hits it was done, and I laid back once more and closed my eyes. A man appeared, and gently threw a piece of egyptian carving resembling a god [don't know which one though, it was more like a flash] onto the sand. The scene was placed in ancient Egypt, I could tell that. My attention was drawn away from these scene as I noticed a liquid motion around the edges of that scene. This liquid feeling seems to be consistent with my trips. As I looked better, I saw that the whole scene was surrounded by a liquid form, which had violet and green "fluorescent" waves through it. Then, what I perceived to be an ancient alchemist just "lifted" the whole sand scene, and I could tell it was one of his experiments, because the whole thing was inside a rounded-bottom flask and it was put to rest or boil inside this weird liquid. Something didn't seem right to him, he looked at it as if asking "what did I do wrong THIS time?" and placed it back. As he did that, I noticed the flask was gone and the sandy scene was just floating into this liquid. Oh, I forgot to mention that I was watching from the bottom of the boiling pot, somehow, yet I could see things so clearly, as if I was watching through a piece of very clear glass.

I was a spectator all of the time. The entities didn't talk to me, I think they didn't even notice I was there. At some points (in the beginning of the trip, especially), most of the things didn't have depth or didn't move. They were just some 2d representations of things, very neatly colored, as if I were in a story while it was being written.

I just wanted to share with you guys this scenery before it's all gone. I'm also looking forward to hearing your opinions on this. I'm still trying to get a grasp of this beautiful substance, and I'd love to hear if you had such visions yourselves at one point or the other. I'm confident that now I am on the right path. The boundary/ego dissolution I experienced about a week ago and the train of thoughts that followed, as well as reading a LOT on different subjects such as conscious dreaming and shamanism seem to have helped a great deal with the pre-flight anxiety and my expectations in general [which I don't find there anymore, and that's a relief for me because I always felt like I was expecting too much and nearly always I found myself disappointed in the end result].

Thank you kindly.

but then face to face:
now I know in part;
but then shall I know
even as also I am known."

your experience reminded me of this saying. your title sounds like the title for a magazine: the alchemical times... I was excited to find out what kind of magazine this should be :p

That being said, ancient egypt, alchemists, wizards... sounds very cool. And all that with just such a small dose! What do you make of it? Were there any specific moments or feelings during the experience that stood out for you, that you find particular or more relevant than others? I'm glad you feel you are on the right path. It is so important to have this feeling, that the steps we take are leading us somewhere, and that somewhere is somewhere we want to be. I like your approach, it would be interesting to hear what make of the experiences, this one or in general.

godspeed

Thank you Enoon. The richness of the experience took me by surprise too, in a good way. I remembered how rewarding letting go of expectations is.

I've been thinking about other messages that might have come with those visions, but I couldn't find any more at the moment (besides the "be more united with each other as people" message I mentioned). The second vision was the one I had difficulty extracting a teaching from. I can only relate the Egypt things to the Ancient Aliens show I've been watching the last few days, and perhaps some random memories were being put together by my unconscious. I also developed lately an interest into plants and shamanism and hence again could have had an unconscious impact. It's not very clear to me, but I'm interested in finding out moar and so I will :)

I've only recently started with psychedelics, and most of the sensations were pretty familiar at this low dose compared to the mushroom trip, only a bit more intense and more dizzy-like, some sort of drunkness, but without the alcohol, if you feel me. Oh, and also I have to mention yawning. Alot. Happened to me on mushrooms as well, in the first part of the trip from what I recall.
