Q? on PanoraMIX HBWR Extract

Hi all,

I will do morning glory LSA extraction with this tec, here are some questions.

1. how to evaporate acetone? I don't have blow drier, and since I will do this extraction only once I don't want to buy one. Do I have options.

2. how to store the powder for future use?

3.is naphta same as "gasolina blanca", or benzene?

1. You can evap it by letting it sit out. Preferably with a fan in an area with good ventilation, away from light. (good luck finding all that lol). I find it easiest to put it by a window at night, if you can have a fan on it blowing the fumes out the window. Also to speed things up, you can place the tray on a electric heating pad(for muscle pain), and place it under that on a low setting. This will speed it up dramatically versus leaving it out in the air by itself.

2. Most people I believe now store it in drinkable ethanol to extend it's shelf life. If you want to store just powder, I would put it in a ziploc bag with as much air removed as possible. I think putting it in a freezer may slow down it's decomposing but don't take my word on that part.

3. As far as I know, yes.

not sure how this is all going, I'll let you know.

I soaked in benzene for 24 hours 20 seeds 2 x. I didn't see benzene colored much...

Now I am drying it and about to add acetone.

Actually it went south:

1. I did 2 x benzene for 12 hours, and it was said 10x.

So I think that went wrong. The reason I did just 2x is that I didn't see any color change.

2. Acetone dried very well, but on the bottom of the plate I ended up with some tar, I tested it and had no any effect.

3. So the question would be how long to have it in benzene, these 10 pulls how long they should be each?

if any comment it is appreciated

Are you just trying to save your extract or start a new one?

Also give me more specifics on how you extracted?

I am not saving anything, I didn't get any extract a part of some tar that I tasted and I didn't feel any effect. I have more seeds, this was a test so I will trow them away. This is what I did:

1. grind the seeds in coffee grinder

( I think it should have been pepper grinder )

2. I soaked the powder in benzene for 12 hours, throw the benzene away and soaked again for 12 hours and throw it away.

3. I added acetone, and soaked it for few hours.

4. I evaporated acetone, it was much easier then thaought, and got some black gummy residue as mentioned before.

So I got nothing. I guess I should do 10x benzene, don't know for how long though.

so f***d it up :(

I think you are right. In mexico i found "gasolina blanca" but not sure if this is Naphta, I think it is benzene... not sure how to find out what it is?
 
Hi guys,

I am in Mexico actually, and it is very hard for me to know what is naphtha over here, chemically it can mean a lots of things, as here:

Can you tell me the naphtha you mention what is used for, so if I go to Mexico home depot I can ask for the same thing?
