My question is regarding the freeze precipitation of the DMT from the naptha.

I keep seeing around the threads how much the naptha will make your freezer smell like solvent, so I have been pondering a way to get around this. This is what i came up with:

Would it be possible, when doing the pulls, to put the dmt-saturated naptha in a portable ice chest, and kept in the garage or somewhere similar. I wouldnt use ice to keep it could, but possibly something like freezer packs at the bottom, setting your naptha container on top.

Thoughts?

I never notice any smell. I seal my container tightly and that's it. But a cooler might work. Maybe try dry ice?

try a mason jar... never any noticeable smell here

if your set on the cooler though try adding some salt water and ice .. should make it nice and cold, though a mason jar in the freezer works just dandy

I like to put in just enough fresh warm napatha to dissolve the dmt and then evap it on a dish for scraping. Otherwise its hard to get it all out to my satisfaction.

scrap as much of it as you can/until you are satisfied (i use a scoopula, i also found a "bead scoop" at the dollar store that works) and put it aside

then rinse your freeze precip mason jar with acetone, swish it around until all the goodies are dissolved. then dump this acetone into another glass dish that has a flat bottom (easy for scraping later) then dump your goodies into this flat dish and allow to evap (this also allows trapped solvent to escape)

i would suggest waiting to put the scrapped goodies from the freeze precip jar in the flat bottom dish until after you dump the acetone in. as when you dump the acetone in it may spill over thus losing goodness. better to put the goodies in it once the acetone is already in there to avoid this issue

one the acetone has evapped scrap it up with a razor and there ya have it, everything in one dish!

may be a little more work but this avoids stinky freezers and gets the vast majority of it from the mason jar!
