Question (and own reply based on my experience): change in psychoactive effects of viridis when altering the Caapi:viridis ratio

UPDATE
(with my experience of changing the amount of caapi from 20g caapi 20g viridis to 25 g caapi to 20 g viridis)
I know, I am very, very sensible to ayahuasca and some of you take 100g of each to get noticeable effects but 20g of each are plenty for me.

Curiosity killed the cat.
If ain't broke, don't fix it.

So I tried myself to increase the caapi:viridis ratio, since an answer to the question appeared to be more difficult to get than I expected. This is only my experience (and a single one, with other factors of the set and setting playing a role, with a particular type and amount of caapi and viridis...) but I can assure you that increasing caapi had a non-linear potentiating effect on viridis. The result in my experience was brutal and unmanageable and brought me to my limits in which I was barely able to make through the experience. A huge, huge difference by merely adding 5 more grams of caapi (I am very sensitive to it, so it might not be perceived so markedly by others). So be careful if you are sensitive. I had the feeling that increasing the amount of caapi would only increase the physical load and oneiric effects and I was wrong with my assumption. I tend to think now that a 1:1 ratio, at least for my plant material, for the amount of plant material and for my body, was not enough to fully inhibit the MAO enzymes in my body because the change brought me to outer space.

EDIT (to have my questions right at the beginning):

Does a 1:1 ratio of caapi and viridis (waiting for 20 minutes between the ingestion of caapi and viridis) provide sufficient MAOIs to fully absorb the DMT of viridis? (I think this is the case but I am not sure)

If it does, increasing the amount of caapi while maintaining the amount of viridis can somehow still increase the psychoactive effects of viridis? (the effects of viridis, if too much, make my experience very easily not maneagable, so I want to know if more caapi needs to be accompanied by less viridis for me).

BACKGROUND (original content):

I have seen that the ratios used in different recipes for the brew are all over the place. I have seen 4:1, but also 1:2. I guess it varies depending on the relative strength between the two ingredients.

In any case, employing a 1:1 ratio, brewed separately and taking caapi 20 minutes before, I have find a good grasp regarding the right amount to take of both, which is very important to me, since I can very easily go from no effects at all with too little to overwhelming effects in which I entirely lose contact with my body when I drink a little bit more.

I am nevertheless considering going higher on caapi, i.e. increasing the ratio caapi:viridis, but I have some concerns. I am aware of the effects of caapi regarding the body load and its emetic properties. I am also aware of the psychoactive effects of caapi and the semi-oneiric state it produces due to its beta-carbolines. But I don't know how increasing the amount of caapi affects the psychoactive properties of the admixture, i.e. viridis. Will it prolong the effects of viridis over time (which is something I can live with)? Will it make the effects of viridis stronger (which is something I am much more cautious about to avoid being overwhelmed)?

I understand that, if not enough MAOI was present in the caapi, the effects of viridis would be logically increased if more caapi is added, but, from what I read, it appears that a 1:1 ratio is enough for having enough MAOIs from caapi. Firstly, because viridis as addmixture is, even in the best of the cases, rather weak regarding DMT content and, secondly, because taking caapi 20 minutes before does the trick to use its MAOIs more effectively by giving time for the inhibition to take place. If this understanding is right (or is it wrong?), I guess I am referring to a potential interaction of the two ingredients that produces a synergistic effect (similar to the entourage effect of the terpenes in cannabis) that potentiates viridis when increasing caapi (and in a manner that goes beyond the MAOIs enabling the absorption of the DMT present in viridis).

Thanks in advance for the help!
