Rising Star
Hello Nexians,
Thought I would take the time to introduce myself now that I have registered and put the cart before the horse with a trip report.
I've been traveling on the psychedelic road exploring interesting substances that come across my path for about the 25 years.
Off the top of my head here's a little background on compounds and substances explored, enjoyed and regretted:
-Pot
-Shrooms
-LSD
-2ci
-MDMA
-MDA
-Ketamine - Not a fan of dissociatives
-Salvia - Only substance I've only ever tried once. God awful bad trip threw away the supply after 1 dose
-5-MeO DIPT
-MIPT
-DMT (my new passion to the near exclusion of all others)
I fell in love with the psychedelic journey fairly young, at the age of 16 or so after being introduced to LSD. I had 100's of experiences but must admit that at that age it was more about recreation and partying than exploration and gaining insight. Around the same time I began exploring psilocybin though I've never in my psychedelic career tried the heroic doses recommended by Mckenna.
The next love of my life, in my early 20's was when I was introduced to MDMA. This was the time when my outlook was shifting away from "getting high". I was never into the rave scene. The concept of an empathnogen and the therapeutic possibilities associated with this substance was very alluring. I became somewhat of a disciple of Shulgin and dreamed of researching and exploring the compounds he had developed. Unfortunately my dreams of exploring the substances from TIHKAL have been limited as I live on the prairies of Canada where few have ever heard of a tryptamine other than psilocybin.
It was in my early twenties that I first read of DMT and it had remained on my bucket list, ever elusive and seemingly out of reach until one faithful day last year when a fellow psychedelic enthusiast and close friend called out of the blue. He had known for quite some time I had longed for this experience. He met someone in his journeys and had arranged for introductions with an assuriity that if I was prepared and willing my long time wish to finally experience this amazing molecule would be fulfilled. I have been utterly enamoured ever since that faithful night and have been consuming information and knowledge ever since.
That initial experience and thirst to understand and discover has lead me here to the Nexus. I have been lurking about ever since that night, reviewing experiences and reading up on teks. I must confess that fear of keeping my anonymity has thus far kept me from speaking to much about my tek experience. I have to apologize to Pandora for playing coy in my other thread regarding tek experience but fear of disclosure even here amongst the initiated held my tongue. I will read up a bit more about posting extraction knowledge in an acceptable way.
Well there you have it. My long winded introduction essay. As you all might guess my posts are likely to be less than succinct but I'll try and keep them shorter. I look forward to many insights and discussions in the future. Thanks for reading and for the welcome.
