Remember the 'incence' Spice?? well its got a designer cannabanoid in it!!

Migrated topic.
Nice find! SWIM's FOAF has loads of JWH-015 and JWH-018 in his lab because he's working on endocannabinoid receptors and their endogenous ligands.

But he never really tried to smoke them, maybe he should.

I have been wondering about the effects of these compounds. They look like they could be rather easily synthesized and are not analogues as the structure is very different than any resorcinol derivatives. Furthermore they seem like very good lead molecules for future cannabinoid agonists. If SWIM tries it out please let me know. This is a fascinating field. the endocannabinoid is vast and controls most of the brains of chemical systems. ZThe potential for selective therapeutics is immense. I worked with endocannabinoid derivatives for a while on the chemistry end though.

When he got them he was looking for specific CB1 and CB2 agonists. Only JWH-015 is specific to CB1 (with slight specificity to CB2) however. JWH-018 being not selective however turned not very useful to him but anyway.

Now his research interests have moved a bit so he's using mostly pure anandamide and arachidonoylglycerol nowadays. He hasn't tried to smoke them either. They look like yellow oils however, pretty appealing.

Too bad on the other time that he doesn't like weed or being stoned.

Not at all suprised. The effects were just too damn close to mj. Even the side effects fit almost to a T.

A tad upset that it came out...now all the US has to do is ban those cannabinoids and poof, spice (and almost all of the other "incense" brands will be illegal in the US...

:(
