Repeating dream scene's?

PeaceANDchips

Rising Star
I just had a question for anyone who is into dreaming/lucid.

I have recently in the last few months had dreams where I would repeat a certain scene but with little changes. For example lets say I dream I am in a car and I get out and go into the gas station. Sometimes I will repeat the same scene in the same night and others I have the same scene a few nights later. So while everything is the same it could be that the car is different in the second time.

I have also got the feeling of deja vu (sp?) when I first go into the scene it feels like somehow I have been here before but don't really know it. Its very hard to explain so to try and sum it up when I dream I will go through a certain scene and either repeat the same scene in the same night with very subtle difference in the second one or I will have the same scene a few nights later again with everything the same but maybe one or two things like a different color house or person.

Any thoughts on this or suggestions? I also have not been keeping a journal which I should start again tonight in hopes to become lucid in the future.

I have read "Lucid Dreaming: the gateway to the inner self" by Robert Waggoner as well and was very interested in his theory I suppose of asking the "Dream world" to show him something important and how it was not made by his own thoughts but of something higher? ah I dont know if any of this makes sense.

Thank you for any help.

for me i just had to learn a trigger to remind me im dreaming.
its like pinching yourself or something in the dream so you wake up and then its lucid.
for example i always remember the backs of my hands.
if i can remember my hands and focus on them in the dream then i wake up and am in control...

Do you do any of the repeating things to yourself before bed such as "Tonight when I see my hands I will become aware" Or do you do the reality test throughout the day?

Thanks:shock:

yah thats how i learned was just repetition right before i went to sleep.
i dont think ive ever tried to do it when i was actually awake
for some reason i know im not dreaming when im not i guess
even though lucid dreams seem real im still aware its a dream so its different
i literally drove myself fucking crazy lucid dreaming every night
to the point that it seemed it was taxing my mind because i never really got any sleep
came to the point where im not sure what to do with it or if it helps me

Have you ever read the book I mentioned? Next time you lucid dream you should defiantly ask the "dream world" to show you something important. Just say outloud in the dream "Dreamworld show me something important". Its interesting you might find what happens.

I have only become lucid a few times and I did this and I heard a voice say something but sense I am inexperienced I could not make it out. The next time I did tried it a man appeared out of nowhere and started walking towards me saying over and over "Why do you have so much fear? why do you have so much fear.." Until he got right in my face and I tried to fight him and tell him I wasn't scared but he pushed me and I got that feeling of ever falling in the dream and woke up. I did have a lot of subconscious fear at the time I wasn't really aware of.

I don't know if its some other way of teaching yourself or learning but its worth a shot , I would like to hear what happens when you do it.
