Since the development of DeepDream I've spent a lot of time wondering how feasible it is to emulate psychedelic visuals with relatively simple special effects. I haven't seen Dr Strange yet, but I think we're on the verge of some pretty incredible representations.
Anyways, I recently stumbled across this sub-reddit to find that there's a bunch of people experimenting with this kind of thing and getting some pretty cool results. Are there any nexians familiar with this, who might even have a few creations of their own?
I think this thread could serve as a space for people to share content they've made or stumbled across, and a place for anyone interested to collaborate on projects and share information about creating these images. I've just started going over some of the tutorials linked in the sub-reddit so I don't have any original content of my own, but here are some of my favorites:
A deep walk through the forest
Drifting leaves
Campsite

There's also stuff like this, that I think would be cool if coupled with some of the above techniques but I'm not sure how practical that is for your average person to do:

Electric Sheep has a lot of promise too and is fairly user friendly
There's so much cool stuff out on the web, I'm sure some of you have plenty of goodies to share! 8)
