Hi guys/girls,
I need some advise please.
I have a few batches of Changa that I will never use and I want to retrieve the DMT, I'm not concerned with the Harmala.
Last time I tried this was about a year ago. I took about 8g of Caapi Changa and dumped it into warm solvent , stirred it, let it sit and so on.
Then I filtered the Caapi leaf away and set the juice in the freezer for precipitation . Nothing fell out?
Any ideas...

I've pulled from changa with hot vinegar + water before & was left with a liquid that glowed yellow/green under blacklight confirming i'd gotten at least some harmalas out.

That got evapped into a gross brown residue though & i never attempted to recover the dmt from it. :oops:
 
My first attempt I was left with green liquid and finally a small amount of green goop :sick:
I will try when I have a time , I have a MHRB extraction to do which takes precedence over that but I will document and take pics for this thread.

If you are evapping, and are left with brown residue, you failed to seperate the solvent from the base layer. Don't smoke it. The same goes for green or other kind of weird colors. These are contaminations of your solvent e.g anti rust agents. Flush it down the toilet.

Edit: Brown dmt can be salvaged of course by adding solvent and re-seperating again.
 
Simple...Just use soak changa in some grain alcohol overnight or longer ..the DMT will instantly desolve into the alcohol...

Pour off alcohol through a fine metal kitchen strainer.. into a small dropper bottle ..you now have DMT tincture in grain alcohol...

It will store foe a very long time!

DMT tincture is the only way i store my spice ..

It you want to retreve your spice use the dropper and drop the tincture onto a dense wad of chore boy then vape it...

The strength of yout tincture depends on how much spice was in your changa before you removed it...

If you want all the spice at once just evaporate all the alcohol in a dish whats left should be the DMT...

Starway does the tincture protect against degredation of the spice over extended periods of time?

I run into trouble with storage of freebase & this seems like a much better option than fumarate comversion if the spice is protected.

It may be hard to source grain alcohol here but it's well worth it not to have to re-basify every time i need some spice.
 
Yes grain alcohol 190 proof [ever clear] will hold any dmt for many months posibly years..

You can also use high proof drinking alcohol but try not to use rubbing alcohol as they put something in it thats not good for you..

If you cant find grain alcohol you might try the highest proof clear drinking alcohol you can find but it will contain more water...

grain alcohol is best DMT instantly desolves in it and stores almost forever...

Ive stored acacia tincture for months now without any of it degrading...
 
Yes the alcohol ...[should work]... unless the dmt stayes in the leafe material for some reason..

I tryed to remove the actives from enhanced salvia 20x and found that most of the...
salvorian A remained on the leafe material...

But DMT desolves very quickly in alcohol ..it should work..
[asuming its in caapi leafe]..especialy if you let it sit for several hours or overnight....then pour off the alcohol into a dropper bottel..

just fan evaporate the alcohol and there should be DMT oil left in dish as a test...

Dont throw away the changa leafe ..you may want to test smoke some to see if its void of dmt..

ISO is available in the uk it works the same, soak the changa and agitate it then leave it getting slightly warmed for 15mins or so, you will pull some harmalas too but mostly dmt. Then evap and maybe make a paste to pull with naptha to leave the harmalas and the polar stuff behind.

ISO will work the same but be shure you ..[compleatly evaporate].. all the iso before you consume the product..
ISO contains an added ingrediant to discourage anyone from consuming it..

Pulling harmala with the product might be a good thing producing a better effect?

Can I do a freeze precipitation instead ?
 
To do a freeze percipatation i would evaporate all alcohol first leaving a DMT oil..

Then re desolve the oil in warm napatha ..then ..[if needed]..reduce [evaporate]..the napatha volume enough to create a saturated condition then pop into freezer for 15 to 24 hours..

Any pulled dmt should crystalize durring freeze process.

This is my limited understanding of process...

There may be other steps before freezing.. to do a mini clean up...
