Rough calculation of proper dosage without milligram scale

No scale that accurate and don't really have the money.
A 10 milli dose or so should be good for starters.
Using a variation of the machine.

Is there a way to gauge around 10 milli?
Say half a toothpick of crystals is equal to 10 milli?

Buy a scale, spoon "weighting" are bad even for baking let alone psychoactive substances. I wasn't helpful but this is hard love.

Buy a scale.

Even if you manage to cut out approximate doses this time, the next extraction may have a more compact crystaline structure and you'll smoke 3x as much because it LOOKED like the right amount.
The 50$ you spend will easily be worth all of the stress you will avoid worrying if you are over or under dosing. Stress that, even if you get a good eyed dose, may effect your trip. Going into hyperspace while apprehensive about your dose is probably not something that will help your mindset.
Here's a question: Do you smoke cannabis? If so, take a tolerance break and use the money you would have spent on weed on a scale. During that time, you can do more research into DMT and go into your first trip with no cannabinoids in your body. Any other things you buy that are not essentials like cigarettes, snacks and sodas etc, could be put off for awhile to save for a scale.
It's really worth it. Plus they are cool.

I recommend not using the product before getting a scale, it's cheap, I think 20-40 usd/euro.

After buying a scale, weighing different batches, it is amazing the difference between looks and weight. One batches .030 might look like anothers .060.
Scale is highly recommended, I paid $30 for the Gemini-20 and that wasn't the cheapest found.

What I did, as I have a scale that only reads to X.Xg, I would scoop just a tiny bit on until it read 0.1, then I'd remove a tiny amount until it read 0.0 again, and I figured that meant it was just under 0.05 Then I divided the pile five ways, and voila: Five doses of a little less than 10mg each.

Not perfect, but it's been consistent for me. Even within one batch, some of the crystals were tighter in some patches than others. One trip in particular was more intense than the rest because a large crystal was hiding in the powder (I felt it burn harsher and heard it crack), and had I been eyeing the doses out like I planned on, I could have ended up taking way more than I was ready for.

Definitely get a scale, I thought i was real good at eye balling doses, and then once i got some real dense crystals and treated them like some light fluffy ones and ended up doing somewhere between 120-200 mg. Easily the most terrified i have ever been lol. I thought i was never going to come out and it was a very different natured journey than any i had before or since.

Moral of the story: Buy a scale, don't be a cheap-skate!
