I don't mind Daniel Pinchbeck so much, but than again he doesn't come across my radar that often either, and I guess Russell Brand is funny when he stays within a certain perspective (stereotyped movie roles), but I really dislike this show from what I've seen of it, it's just got a really awkward vibe of forced laughter going on. The fact that he called Pinchbeck a shaman also really bothered me.
Maybe I'm just a cynical misanthrope but I don't believe that DMT needs this sort of attention. It's already illegal in most countries, and most people are still conditioned to think that any sort of reality-altering substances are in their nature dangerous. Western culture sort of demonizes pleasure for the sake of pleasure as being guilty in some way, so I don't see it being legalized anytime in the next decade (in the U.S.A. at least). One great thing about DMT is that despite their legal status, most local authorities do not even know what the hell they are. The last thing we need is the government starting some sort of massive propaganda campaign, tunneling their tentacles into the education system, and mass media trying to smear reality in the way they have with marijuana, lsd, and even crack cocaine (okay, so crank isn't the safest drug, but they have made up blatant lies regarding it's effects and dangers in the past).
