Scraping after freeze precip

Hi,

I have a very short practical question: I notice, as I've done, people use a Stanley knife to scrape. However these knives i notice are quite oily, even after soap washing they can remain quite sticky.

Any tips? What do other people use for scraping?

To remove oil I use brake parts cleaner or carb cleaner thatl will remove the oily residue but I’ve never scraped ccrostals before and not sure if you level any carb or brake cleaner residue on knife if it would hurt the product I’d ay make sure it’s dry free cleaning it
