Shelf life question

I've read a bit about shelf life but have a question.

I have this friend who got over excited about extracting and gathered too many supplies. He has many grams of crystal and several pounds of root bark. He has no one to share with and never will.

If one had the choice of storing crystal or root bark (air vaccumed out of plastic bags in the freezer), which is the more stable for storing?

If you can get some fumaric acid, you can store the dmt in fumarate form which is very stable... In any case, whether it is crystals or rootbark, both should have a very long shelf life in cold dry dark place.. Maybe still in the bark would last even longer (though if one has fumarate than that should also keep for looooong)

A combination of cold + salt form should last a long time, from what I understand. I've even read that freebase DMT can last basically forever as long as you keep it in an airtight container in the fridge.

The dreamer's DMT has been in the freezer for almost a year in an amber jar in a couple of ziploc bags. It is still as white as the day it was extracted

The spice that SWIM ingested last night was of excellent quality it is in the freebase form. It was extracted well over a year ago. It is stored in an air tight amber vial that is inside a pint mason jar with a desecant bag in a dark freezer.
