If you are really a schizophrenic, then you perhaps chose one of the best ways to cope with it. Trying to utilize psychedelics in curing - or at least understanding - this mysterious illness may be much better than getting stuck in the paralyzing delusional obsessions of a haunted mind (or repressing them with medication).

And if you are not a schizophrenic, then you may have just opened up yourself to some aspect of reality which you cannot handle yet and that may be the source of your confusion.

To me, this sounds like a direct experience of God's "control room", which your individual mind - not having a better basis on which to understand the experience - interpreted as "aliens are controlling me".

Experiencing the two extremes - "everything is one" and "I am a separate individual" - at the same time without mentally shutting/breaking down is quite difficult without a supportive cultural background.
