Well, my exposure's been pretty limited. Some time ago there was mushrooms, which was a very nice experience for about the first 3 hours and then got a little bit exhausting. Since then I've tried Salvia on and off, always with some hesitation prior to each time. I'd love to share my first experience here if I may:
The first time I tried Salvia I have to admit, I was ill-prepared. I had NO idea what it was. Our corner store nearby was selling it alongside some other milder, legal things, and the man behind the counter said it was just more of the same, so I bought a pack of 5x and took it home. My mistake for not doing the research prior, as I did pretty much everything wrong the first time. No sitter, sitting on a chair in the laundry room, and no torch. Which is probably why I still marvel that anything (let alone anything positive) happened.
I remember taking it in and holding my breath...then nothing. Blackness which suddenly began to swirl into these vibrant, colorful shapes and images that I couldn't really make any sense of. Slowly, these shapes began to take a more definite form and I found myself standing on the platform of a train station.
The train station was absolutely milling with people. They were coming and going off the train and around the platform. And everything there, I mean EVERYTHING (including the people themselves) were all made of these vibrant colors. It was like they were made of some kind of crystal that caught the bright light of this place and reflected all these beautiful colors off them. Like I was seeing a wider range of the color spectrum for the first time ever.
Of course, during all this, I had no recollection of the Salvia. Of who I was. Where I was. Even that I had arms or legs, hands, feet. No recollection I was a human being at all. But I was pretty alright about it.
Then, very slowly, the scene began to unwind itself much like it put itself together before. Now everything seemed to be taking on more familiar, physical qualities: The track unmade itself and remade itself into what I realized with a start was: a washing machine.
And I was suddenly back, sitting on the chair, my hands gripping the underside and my eyes staring ahead.
First words? "Holy shit."
