So What's Up With HBWR Dosage?

Title says it all:

I've seen 3-5 whole seeds listed as enough for a mid-range experience, but in the Advanced LSA Tek, it lists 10 seeds as a threshold does. I've seen other wild variances in dosage range across various forums.

Anyone have any hard data on this one?

5 or 6 whole seeds is about as much as I like to take, and at this level the likelihood of nausea is...quite likely.

I imagine with extracted LSA, as the other alkaloids are eliminated, there is less chance of nausea, and perhaps a loss of LSA potentiation too, effectively raising the limit. A factor of 2 seems plausible, so 10-12 extracted makes sense.

I haven't tried extracted LSA, but I would if I was inclined to go back to HBWR, which I'm not anytime soon. The visuals were predominantly red, and could lead the unwary into thinking they were bleeding profusely...

I used to grind the seeds and mix with a little dark chocolate, & splash of cream, to make "truffles". Very effective, and taste good.
 
Ergine isn't for everyone.

The experience can be quite constricting in itself and is good to start low and slow. The most uncomfortable feeling about LSA ime-o, is the physical effects. It'll have strong sleepy effects afterwards. It does lend itself to unfold into beautiful, trans-formative experiences.. such as purging following blissful contentment. However, I feel reports of 10-12 HBWR seeds strongly suggests entheogenic effects.

Extraction does help reduce difficult somatic effects but certainly can also reduce the total ergine amount.. depending how efficient it is. Due to the unstable nature of LSA; also how much ergine you are extracting per seed needs addressed. I only have experience with the indian strain (origin of woodrose) which was uplifting at 4 seeds and helpful medicinally. 8-12 seeds is enough for psychedelic effects. 5-8 certainly isn't on-par but can be enhanced with other material such as cannabis.. which can also reduce nausea and other negative effects of LSA. Honestly, I swear by ganja use when utilizing ergine.. everytime. Simply because the experience synergizes very well and helps ease the experience and effects desired. Some Nexians enjoy ginger or mint to help mitigate somatic effects.

I recommend looking into each strain of baby woodrose and include at least 6-8 or 10-12 true Hawaiian, Indian or Madagascar seeds, powdered and mixed with fresh water to be taken slowly.. followed by cannabis smoking after about an hour or 2. 10 or more seeds will last a long while. Rue is also another option for enhancement and possibly medicinal effects to contribute. Be sure to have nothing busy going on. 😉
 
An extraction is a lot different than eating the seeds whole. You need at least double.
This is likely because of one of two different reasons -
either the desired effect is from a combination of different alkaloids and an extraction tends to pull mostly LSA, or extraction methods are not very efficient. I have found a lot more evidence IME pointing towards it being an efficiency problem though.
 
I have some more experience when It comes to morning glories, however I just tried some hbwr and thought I would elaborate on that.

About 45 minutes to an hour ago, I crushed up a single seed to test out potency with. This is my first time with these seeds. I took the smashed up seed and stuck it all between my lip and gum line, and let it sit there for about 10-15 minutes. During this time I tried to swallow absolutely no saliva, and kept it all in my mouth. After the 10-15 minutes were up, I spit it all out and washed my mouth out to ensure I didn't swallow any lsa rich saliva (to test sublingual absorption).

I can now say that I am starting to feel something coming on. By no means is it intense at this dosage, so far just a very mild electric feeling that I associate with ergoline compounds. I can feel my muscles relaxing somewhat as well, and my head feels kind of funny.

I do not believe it is placebo.
 
at about the 3-4 hour mark with one seed of the madagascar strain, chewed and held sublingual for 15 minutes or so, I get into an extremely relaxed and serene zen like state..there is a bit of an ergoline electric feel for the first hour or two as well as it comes on. It is very light at that dose, but it's there and sort of sits on the threshhold of psychedelic effects.

I sometimes chew one seed in the morning at work, when I know I'm going to be working in this one really beautiful garden overlooking the pacific ocean all day long. By lunch I am just so relaxed and peaceful, I sit in this gazebo on the cliffs edge and look out at the ocean.
 
Sounds like you have a beautiful job there Jamie. I have often thought that I would like to take lsa at work, but I work in a warehouse in the aviation industry, so too many expensive parts to be doing that. Plus all the machines and stuff would become a huge distraction.

Most dry-weight seeds that contain LSA don't all contain the same levels of ergine. Even if it is the same strain. So that's another whole FYI.. is how one is obtaining the seeds. This is why I find growing/harvesting your own ergolines is so important to experience. Whether they are eaten fresh or extracted fresh, ime, tends to lean towards a more powerful, clearer and less somatic experience. It would make sense that fresh seeds are have reduced glycoside production and contain more water.

They taste greater fresh, too! 😉
 
I know this thread is kind of old but I'd say 6 seeds is about perfect, at least with the Hawaiian strain I had . I crushed them with pliers and ground them up. Then I mixed them with a little bit of water and held them in my lip like jerky for about 30 minutes. I tried eating them once and shaving off the outer coating but the nausea and tightness in my joints was unbearable. With the sublingual method I got little to no nausea and the experience is great. At that dose I didn't really get visuals, but its a nice clear stoned feeling and a very strong body high. I'm probably gonna try 12 seeds that way and see how it goes, but screw eating them things, it's terrible.
