something isnt quite right.. help me find what.

ok so my last 4 or 5 trips into the void have left me underwelmed and im not sure why.. im stuck in the same place of uncertainty, il try to descibe it.

set: calm mind, calm breathing, fast heartrate (always)
setting: couch, comfy, dark room, quiet ambient music on

approx 70mg, maybe more, seems like alot..

biiig toke, clear the GVG (more or less..)

visuals start and overwhealm me, im trying to make some sense of it but its much to fast to follow, calm mind still, searching for some meaning in the mess of shapes and color

visuals slow a bit and im able to think, STRONG presence of a mischeivious energy, like the jokers wont let me pass this stage in the trip.. blasting me with shapes and nonsense

the trip slows and im waiting for a sign, the slowed down mild visuals are plesent and altered mind is great, deep thought and meditation for about ten min. fade to sober..


i have had only one glowing experience with DMT, it was amazing, i felt mother earth show me eternal love.. but i have not had anything like that since.. and im trying to get some insight into why.. i cant really figure it out..

Maybe back down the dose to 50-60mg. I can't say that'd work for sure, but I could definitely see where too much might get confusing.

It made me break down and cry on DMT twice I don't know why that band is so emotionally heavy but if you're looking for eternal love maybe do 30-40 with some music like this. Don't do too much or the music will start to get chaotic, but a moderate dose synergizes VERY well with it.

I guess my main advice is just keep playing around with it. Different settings, different dosages, with/without music, etc. Sometimes the more you visit hyperspace the more it starts to unfold. My friend said he's become so familiar with the hyperspace beings that they go longboarding together. IDK. There's no real one answer to this.

On second though it could be exactly the opposite of what I said. Maybe you need to smoke more. I do recall this dark presence on many of my trips that tells me not to go further but you have to stay committed and smoke past it. Once you pass the threshold all the hidden meanings and beings start manifesting.

I know I just rambled hardcore, but it's late for me and since I can't get in your head and figure out exactly what's going on I just threw down all the things I could think of that might affect a DMT trip.

something that seems to help a lot of people is the "dip your toes in first" routine, in which you smoke a non-break-through dose of say 15mg first to get your mind and body set for the higher dose a few minutes later (once your hands are dexterous to fill the bowl again).

Generally 70mg sounds like about double the amount you usually need to break through. Unless your spice is really impure I would try to work on the smoking technique (try to get it all in in one breath) and then holding your breath as long as you can. 30-35mg can easily be enough for a break through, but hey, it depends on the person, so I don't know. It might take a few tries to get the smoking tek down, and even then, it might fail because part of you may be hesitant and you screw up in emptying the bowl, or your spice melts through the screens or whatnot. I take these things as signs that it's just not the right time for me.

Also if you feel like some energy is not letting you get any further, perhaps take a break for a while, try discovering what it is by introspection or simply wait. Maybe it's not the right time in your life right now. A few weeks/months (or whatever) from now it may work again no problem.

Also you can try without the music.

Also you can try with ingesting or sublingual harmalas.

Or try pharma instead of smoking.
