Would they have gone that far without drugs? chances are probably not. But does that mean its the drugs fault? Nope. Psychedelics can lead to some pretty weird ideas, everyone should be well aware of this going on... and the fact that the messianic complex is very common. Some just buy into it more than others and it can lead them down some disturbing paths.
