Rising Star
So... Tuesday night I had taken 50mg, insufflated, of MXE and had ended up relaxing in my living room whilst talking to Soulfood on Skype, who had also taken 50mg MXE (as far as I remember - by the time I had got through to him on Skype the MXE had hit me pretty hard). We enjoyed some silly MXE fueled banter for a couple of hours, (such banter has previously made us come up with a title of a story called 'The Barnicle Buggerer and the Lickey Chief'. A story that obviously has to be written ), and as the night wore on and the effects of the MXE had moved past the peak, I felt in the mood to finish the night off with some DMT.
I grabbed my Vapor Genie and made a few attempts to clear the little of what was left in there from my last session. Since I'm pretty new to the VG, I hadn't got the technique quite right, and failed to get anything out of it. In my MXE-induced headspace, I then thought it might be easier to get right if I put a little more DMT in the VG. So, I weighed out 20mg and added it to the little that was still in there.
Soulfood, still chatting with me on Skype, talked me through taking a hit from the VG properly, and as I had nearly drawn my lungs to full capacity, I blew out a tiny plume of smoke just to confirm that I'd actually got it right (I don't have a GVG, and so without being able to see the smoke, I'm sometimes not sure if I'm inhaling DMT or hot air !
Turns out DMT was in a playful mood that night
As the effects of the DMT began to wash over me, I could tell I was in for quite a big one! The room was quickly morphing into all sorts of wonderful shapes and colours. When I launched, I was sat on the floor with my back propped up against my sofa. As the hallucinations began to flood my visuals I decided to make an attempt to get onto my sofa to lie down, where it's more comfortable. This took considerable effort, as when I was about halfway there, I couldn't even see my own legs or body against the visions! As I rose up towards my sofa, a glanced in the general direction of my computer. Though I couldn't make out much, I did see Soulfood's face still there on the Skype video feed - except that through DMT goggles, he had become a digital cartoon, drawn with a brilliant lightning-blue outline and bright white skin, with a huge grin. Seeing that only added to my growing sense of euphoria, and as I looked away from the computer screen, the image of Soulfood's head followed and faded into the collage of other patterns and shapes.
As my back dropped gently onto the seat cushions of the sofa, instead of a soft dull thud of my back hitting the padded sofa, the sound created by the impact was more akin to a pebble being dropped into a lake. The reverberant 'sploosh' then echoed away as everything intensified. Finally lying down and comfortable, I could begin to enjoy the trip. I realised that I was being integrated into the room, and the feeling of this happening - which is hard to put into exact words, I can only describe as feeling like the whole room, including myself, was made out of small rectangular blocks - like tiny Jenga blocks, all of which were rolling over each other in different directions. As the blocks rolled over each other, the chaos of the visuals increased and I was no longer in my room! I felt as if I was melting away into the scenery, and I was happy to let this happen!
For a short while I couldn't really tell what was what! I was in a happy psychedelic bubble, with stunning shapes, patterns and colours rotating all around my vision. It didn't make much difference whether I opened or closed my eyes. I also had strong auditory hallucinations – lots of giggling and the trickling of water.
Then, slowly, I began to recognise parts of my room again. What was once my coat that I'd left on the adjacent sofa now looked kind of like a giant blue frog with a big cheesy grin. My fridge, (I have an open plan living room and kitchen), had turned into some kind of bizarre robot. In fact, all of my kitchen appliances now looked as if they were sentient robots – my filter coffee machine, smoothie maker etc... I found all this pretty amusing!
Eventually, as the effects began to wear off, I decided to get up off the sofa. As I did, it felt like I was being gently pushed out form inside the sofa and back out into the real world. I stood in the middle of the room, slightly dumbfounded, still hallucinating a fair amount, trying to work out what just happened! Took me a while to piece it all together!
When I got it together to get back to Soulfood on Skype, it turned out I'd been out of it for 15 mins. Felt like 5!
Good times
