Right then, so first off I would never do an extraction, I'm just too stupid and so not a chemist. So anyway my friend did an extract, hes much better looking and smarter than I... here is a rough overview of what he did and his end result.
Mats:
100g MHRB (powdered)
100g Food Grade 100% lye (makin drug salads here)
200ml VM&P Naphtha
1.5l Distilled Water
4 beakers and funnels of Various size (500-1000ml)
2 Milk Jugs
2 9" pyrex pie pans (say that 3 times fast)
A pinch of Soda Ash
Pretty much he used followed the wonderful tek Gir posted, only he evaped the naphtha at the end instead of freeze percip, due to lack of cold enough freezer, I'm guessing.
End result was 1.12g of pretty nice spice that he promptly tossed out the window. He is very happy with his first work and will continue to refine and experiment.
