Were at a dilema here and was wondering if 2500 ml water is to much for 1 lb (445 grams)
200 grams of lye was also added. We do not want to have a lb wasted so this is why we ask.
We dont usualy ask questions, but this seems to be an emergency. Any help would be much appreciated.. Thank you

Definitely not too much, there is a lot of material in 445g to have in suspension so if anything I would say its the minimum it should be for that much..

Why is it such an emergency? Lol.

If you consider that most STB extracts use 10ml per 1g of bark, using 2500ml for 1lb is about 5ml per 1g, roughly. But still, water content isn't even that necessary. The only reason you want a higher water content is so that your solvent seperates out easily. If you have a very thick soup then the solvent won't seperate as easily. I would suggest using half the lb instead of the whole lb. Also, why are you doing that large of an extraction at once? Surely, smaller extractions will be more beneficial.

It was an emergency because the house that this was being done was only available for a certain amount of time. Same answer applys to why such a big extraction was being done.
Tbank you for tbe info.
