Stepping out of the shadows

I've browsed this site many times over the last couple of years, but I finally decided to register. As a newcomer to this community, let me tell you a bit about myself.

I like plants. Specifically, I like plants that influence my perspective. The actual chemical makeup or 'bio-activity' of plants are not the primary determining factors of their influence, but I do tend to gravitate towards those that hold some of these magical keys. I'm fascinated by the interconnectedness (is that a word?) of the natural world, and how humans have co-evolved with plants.

I've developed relationships with a number of plant teachers, but I often take my time to learn. That's alright. I like to learn. I guess that's why I'm here.

Hello passeyi,

Welcome to the Nexus. I enjoyed reading your introduction essay - thank you for sharing that with us. Given your appreciation of plants, I think you will fit in very nicely here.

So, which entheogenic plants do you currently grow? Do you do your own entheogenic extrations?

Have you tried DMT yet?

Do you have a primary plant ally?

How do you feel about the recent changes to the site? I'm hoping you really like the changes.

Again, welcome to the Nexus.

I've been growing a number of entheogenic plants for a while now. I have a bunch of Trichocereus (a few species and crosses), Mitragyna speciosa, Psychotria viridis and alba, Acacia confusa and acuminata, E. novo, Silene capensis, Calea ternifolia aka zacatechichi, Voacanga africana, Ilex vomitoria, and Banisteriopsis caapi 'Cielo'.

I have primarily been a 'whole plant' kind of person, so not a lot of extraction experience. I have played around a bit with cactus extraction though. I've been taking my time getting to know my ayahuasca related plants and haven't actually experienced their light yet. I may take the plunge soon though....
