Well, I did pharma almost every day last week. Every session was an indoors except for Saturday, which was done by the newly blossomed cherry trees.
Indoors/Outdoors is an important facet of the experience but I it's not something that I personally get too hung up on. Sure, being out in nature is great, although I'll often opt to do that sober and then trip out in the safety an comfort of my own home. That said, my best trips of all time have been while camping on a deserted beach with some friends.
Not like it's a contest between modes of use but I do prefer oral dmt over vaporized. My reason is that with pharma, there's more time spent in that state and less time spent getting to that such. ie. fiddling with a torch and piece, etc.
In response to recreational DMT use, i dunno. I don't find DMT to be habit forming. Quite the opposite, I usually need to spend a good time in mental preparation to intentionally convince myself to do it because I know I feel better for it and just might learn something about myself in the process. If I happen to enjoy the experience, which I usually do, that's just awesome of course and really doesn't detract from my personal health and growth.
The way I like to see it is that psychedelics are best used to find something, to experience something. It's when they are used to hide or flee from a problem(or otherwise neutral yet important task) that needs to be addressed, that's when abuse of the substance begins.
As far as ingredients and dosages for pharma, I made my own extract of peganum harmala seeds for the RIMA portion. It's super easy and cheap that way. For the DMT portion, I did spiceman's poorman's tek -- vegetable oil extraction and just stopped when I got to the acidified water part...cause now I have a solution of DMT fumarate and some harmala crystals. I used 100g of rootbark in the extraction and got 500ml of water out. Assuming an alkaloid concentration of 2%, that's 4mg per ml. I started experimenting with the mimosaroo (mimosa hostilis + syrian rue, lol) by putting on a kettle of water and mixing 5ml of DMT solution with 350mg of my harmala extract in a small glass cup with a bit of honey. The ketele boiled and I added some hot water to the vessel, stirring with my extra magic ceremonial licorice root until all the crystals had dissolved. The extracted crystals from my rue were not very pure so it's hard to tell exactly how much alkaloid I added but probably somewhere between 150 and 200 equivalent freebase weight. 5ml of the mimosa portion equates to about 20mg DMT but again, that is only an estimate. I could barely feel that amount of DMT. Since then I've been slowly working up to 40ml of DMT water and that's as deep as I intend to go for a while. When i start again, after taking a break, I'll likely begin working with 20ml (or equivalent of AT MOST 80mg spice). My intuition tells me that the concentration is likely lower than that, closer to 1 or 2 mg per ml but, it doesn't matter too much. That's why I started dosing low and continued increasing the dose to find my sweet spot. I also experimented with 300mg of the harmalas instead of 350 without any perceived lessening of trippyness but I feel like the extra 50 mg might add to the afterglow a bit. I'll do a more controlled dosing experiment on myself once I make a more accurate measure of my product.
Basically, there is a ton of pharma info out there. Dosage on everything seems to vary a lot between individuals, also some people take the RIMA before the DMT but I like to do it just like ayahusca -- mix it all together.

Not the only guide out there but a good one.

It's stickied for good reason. I read it all. It's worthwhile.
