Hello..
Fist of all..THANK YOU for sharing the alkemical secrets haha..the filosofer stone = xtals of DMT?

SWIM have made his very first extraction today using 50g lye, aprx.750ml dest h20 and 50g jurema.
He recently took out the glas bowl with naphta from the freezer and saw that there were some snowflakes look alike white fluffy xtals - DMT? He is now drying it with help of a fan and he is about to do his second pull with naphta.

My friend says that.. in the bottom of the bowl (with the fluffy xtals), at the center of it, there is a orange/yellowish materia that look identical to the white xtals but colored...
SWIM suspects that this colored stuff is impurities or less clean extract but he isn´t sure. He even suspects now that there may be a chance that he got a drop or so of lye into the napha.

SWIM's question is..what does SWIM have to do if there is some minimal lye in the extraction? How can SWIM clean out the small parts of lye..if that orange/yellowish stuff is lye.
(SWIM is a very novice novice (haha) to this form of extractions)

Once again..thank you DMT nexus for sharing the knoweldge :)

How can SWIM clean out the small parts of lye..if that orange/yellowish stuff is lye.

The most popular way would be to do a recrystallisation. Dissolve chrystals in 50ml warm naphta, suck up the impurity layer on top of the solution, recrystallize the naphta.

If you still have trouble getting rid of the oils (much more work than a plain freeze precipitation but I like it):
- dissolve the brown spice in acid - vinegar or dilute HCl. Warming may help if there are large hard clumps of material.
- filter out the crap.
- defat with naphta (can be skipped, the fats don't dissolve in the acid anyway, it's the crap in the filter)
- basify with your base of choice, watch the DMT precipitate
- warm it to ~50 C, extract 3 times with naphta. It gets turbid when cooling down to room temp, a sign of high DMT concentration. Freezeprep.

Also, I wouldn't worry about lye residue too much in spice more than a few days old unless it's stored in a CO2-free environment. It's turned to carbonate by carbon dioxide in the air rather quickly. Strong hydroxides like lye and lime love CO2 and bind it like crazy!

Thanks for the advice tryptographer. But SWIM will try the acid cleanse next time he told me.He feels almost to bliss over his success and wants to make changa now..and thanks for the information about lye. Now i feel kind of more safe.

And just to report my friends success..SWIM did´n get the quantity he expected, only 300mg from 50g. Most of it (aprox 98%)being white and clean. There are some residue(spelling?) left in the bowls, kind of oily, not much but oily anyways. But he is planning on cleaning the thin layers of snowfalkes that are left in the bottom of the used bowls with acetone, put the acetone in a bigger pyrex dish, put the clean spice in it. Then enhance some leafs, making his own changa.
The ratio SWIM is going to use to enhance leafs is 1:1.5. That would be +300mg of spice with a total of aprox 500mg of leaf..caapi and damiana with a pinch of x7salvia. For light, force, taste and synergi hehe..

But SWIM is kind of dissaponited, he thought that he could pull 500mg of spice like many other SWIY :)
But being SWIM´s first try he feels content with 300mg and the best part is to have succeeded he told me.

So, once again nexus..SWIM says thank you folks and now he is going to start making his own changa..
