The author of the article is being extremely conservative in these estimates. Keep in mind that's all they are. I'm pretty confident that the author is well aware that a 500mg oral dose wouldn't kill you. However even if 500mg was an accurate LD50- DMT is still potentially less hazardous than chemicals like caffiene and alcohol. The only reason we know the LD50 is probably higher is because of our SWIM's first hand experiences. The point here is that, first of all WE NEED TO DO MORE RESEARCH. Secondly, based on the research that does exist, DMT SHOULD NOT BE ILLEGAL - That is until the government can use some research to show why it should be illegal. The government failed to demonstrate how DMT poses serious health risks in a supreme court case. SO WHY IS IT ILLEGAL? What does that tell you about our government? Obviously the majority of people here realize this already, but there are so many people who need to be WOKEN THE FUCK UP! I feel simply teaching people about DMT, and the situation we're in with DMT is a great way to open peoples minds to the reality that our government is a cultural conditioning/brainwashing machine.
