Hello everyone!

I'm TiMi, 23 y/o from Buffalo, NY, and studying Psychology at a local College.

Prior to the DMT experience, SWIM was quite familiar with the effects of mushrooms and LSD. The DMT experience is once that changed his life for the better in numerous ways. Attached is what was written following the experience.

Hi TiMi716,

Welcome to the Nexus. There is A LOT to be found here for students of psychology, sociology, anthropology, philosophy, religion, as well as chemistry, cosmology, quantum mechanics, etc., etc. The list goes on. It seems that DMT's reach and ramifications (as well as ubiquitousness in nature) are truly wide and massive.

Your trip report is fascinating. Do you know what the dose was? Great description of feelings and ramifications. Were there any visuals other than the light?

Speaking for myself, I must say that DMT and psychology make for a wonderful combination. Again, welcome!

Peace & Love,
Pandora

Thanks Pandora!

My main interests, in regard to my education, is in all of Psychedelics and their potential use in Psychology, whether it be in therapies, clinical lab research, or just general healing. Their potential for greatness is amazing! While I am still researching on DMT, the opportunities that can be made via Psilocybin, LSD, or even Cannabis are awesome and I hope to continue my research and find a way to LEGALLY and PROFESSIONALLY administer these healing agents to the 'sick.' (aren't we all?)

What really draws me into Psychology is the study of the internal world. This world humans have been exploring since time immemorial. Religion was founded to increase Spirituality to increase the 'health' of the internal. However, in today's world there seems a great schism between science and religion. Psychology, and the use of Psychedelics, has the ability to bridge and even eliminate this gap. Awesome! Really looking forward to exploring more research.

One in all,

TiMi

Let me give you one advice: Your true self can not be examined or be studied. Psychology is only a tool.
You, the reality and the observer of yourself are one.
There is nothing to study, you just have to be aware of yourself.

Mr. DMT,

I appreciate your words of wisdom and cannot agree more. What I would like to do, is use this Western tool to show the value of psychedelics and the general psychedelic ( and holotropic) experience to the dismissive Western culture. I'm going to play their game and show them, using their own tools, what they so easily dismiss and the potential benefit of these states of awareness/consciousness.

However, finding a graduate institution to follow my passion at is something that is certainly proving difficult :(
