I thought this was pretty amazing, yet not very surprising coming from Tool.

I really hope someday I can create something to help humanity like their music does.

"Know the rules, but break them... To think outside the box... To think for ourselves..."

haha, that's kind of cool and not surprising at all.
When I read Drunvalos flower of life there was a section about some kind of ritual that was performed in the pyramid where the practitioner would basically ride on a spiral into space to astral project or remote view or whatever. The spiral I think was also based on the Fibonacci series and served as a way to get back to the body IIRC...
When I read this I was immediately and compellingly reminded of lateralus, because it SO fit the lyrics. At least in my mind at that point it did. And Tool does have a song called Mer-Ka-Ba too, so it's not all that far fetched...

<3 these guys, I hope they get their act together and bring out a new album soon!

Yes I read that too and thought of Lateralus. A lot of the rhythms in their songs are based on numerology and such, and of course the lyrics have an enlightening sense to them. Love that band, can't wait for a new album. But in the meantime, A Perfect CIrcle is touring this summer. :)

This song is one of my driving forces in life, I take the words very literally. Spiral out. keep going...

Swing on the spirallll... me too.

I am going to see them this weekend at Rock on the Range in Columbus, Ohio
I got tickets to the new york show :) Give me a heads up on the set list?
