The Healing Room
Enter the Golden Door.
Be welcomed by a spirit so warm and inviting. Be greeted with cupped hands, a bow, and a warm generous
hug. This is the beautiful home of Antrocles. Music is in the air, the sound of 528hz binaural beats. An
enthusiastic Antrocles engages you in conversation and you feel that you are with a vibrant and extremely intelligent person.
It is clear that this person is dedicated to the spiritual well being of others and is dead serious about
everything important in life, yet has a great sense of humor and a twinkle in his eye! He'll tell you of his
grandfathers ring he wears, and of the spirits he encountered in Mexico. He'll tell you of his life in
Los Angeles and his acheivments as an athlete, but only if you ask him because he is so humble about
everything he has done. Most importantly, When you meet Antrocles, you know you have met someone you can
call friend.
He offers you some refreshments and then with great enthusiasm wisks you to see his Healing room that he
has put so much energy into creating for moments like this.
Enter the Healing Room.
As you step into this space, you feel every bit of devotion that has been put into creating it. You are
humbled. You know that this is the type of space that you will never see anywhere else and like many
other experiences you have had in life you will wish you could capture it in a bottle, yet you know you cannot.
The room re-creates the experience that Terrance McKenna has spoken of...to look yet try not to be
overly amazed by the beauty, by the healing incense Antocles puts forth, by the love which with this
room was made. The stunning light fixtures look like the initial stages of a sacred herbals journey.
Be warmed by the statues and art in the room, yet try not to be overwhelmed. I must admit I somewhat failed at
the later part and I wish I could have not been so overwhelmed by the beauty of the room, and by the
presence of the engaging Antrocles. What was to come next was the experience of my lifetime.
This healing room was built by a man who has learned from the elders and who has pure and infinite
intent of love of life. He has learned well from the shamans of South America and he will put you in a
trance. He speaks in sounds and tounges that people from European background have turned their backs on
for hundreds of years. He has learned well from the Secoyan shamans and brings this back to us.
In preparation for a mystical journey, after lighting healing incenses, we sat in this healing room and
Antrocles shared with me the meaning of the seven chakras so that I might be better prepared for the
meditative experience. Then, with a little help from a special blend of sacred herbals I was launched into a trance that totally
overcame me with beauty. Guiding me through my journey came the ringing sounds of melodic sacred bowls
that Antrocles knows how to play so musically. The chanting of jungle voices and sounds of the jungle
eminated from deep within my guide, sounds that I knew he was sharing with me from his recent adventures
with the Secoyans. I didn't think it quite possible that a human could make such sounds, so I knew that
Antrocles must have had experiences that go far beyond anything we "civilized persons" normally see. I
thought "How can you make those sounds? What within you would ever coalesce to formulate them? These
sounds are of nature and of beauty and you are bringing them to us both. Only someone so dedicated to
reaching the pinpoint of the human spirit would ever dedicate themselves to brining this capability to
create such sounds with them." They were the sounds of life and jungle, and the sounds of animal
spirits, and the sounds of shaman elders. Sounds of a jungle priest I thought.
When the glow lifted, I felt so very thankful for knowing this man and so humbled that he would create
such ceremony for my presence. I felt that I had just attended the most holy ceremony of my life.
After some additional time spent talking of our lives, With a hug and a bow and clasped hands I bid my
friend Antrocles a very bittersweet goodbye, bitter knowing that I live on the other side of the country
from him and that it may be a long time before I see him again, sweet as my time with him left me with a
new appreciation for taking good care our own spirituality and sharing this with others.
Thank you Brother Antrocles, Love and Gratitude to you.
