There are no real answers to these questions, as energy has zero size, zero mass, and zero weight. But the product of these questions would exist in some form and have an energy potential that could be calculated. It should, hypothetically, exist as pure energy once freed of the restraints of matter. I asked a friend of mine, a mathematical physicist, if these questions could be stated or proven mathematically, and a comparison drawn to the projected double. I received a chapter-length reply. The high-level math and physics involved are way above layman level, but the end result was that the projected double was likened to a potential well.
For all that, the projected double is indeed a body of sorts, albeit an energetic one. A projector can perceive this body, but only when parts of it are deliberately self-observed. The subtle body parts that appear seem to be created by the subconscious mind. The mind of a projector does not seem able to accept the total nonexistence of its body, so temporarily creates body parts when they are looked for.

Many entities seem to choose a form taken from the mind of a projector (which indicates some degree of telepathic ability) and use it to generate the maximum possible level of fear. This is a very good reason for projectors to keep their minds clear and mask their true feelings when they encounter or are forced to deal with astral wildlife.

hmm very cool, i've always thought about the power of the subconscious while tripping...

when i read this it reminded me of swim's experiences on acid - the thought process goes like this:

1. oo look at that trippy tree/cloud/person/bug
2. hmmm, (since her brain is going in a million directions and looking at life through a hallucinogenic lens) doesnt that tree/cloud/person/bug look like a ___________? (insert noun) or, doesent that tree/cloud/person/bug look like they are __________? (insert verb)
3. tree/cloud/person/bug TURNS(or begins to morph)INTO what she subconciously imagines!

I always love playing with the things you can make yourself trip out on... a little experiment of sorts. Does this work for anyone else?

Unfortunately have not had an OBE yet! interesting to think about though

I like doing the same thing (even if it's out of subject or whatever). You can probably trip out on everything.. Stanley Kubrick, who was against drugs, said that if EVERYTHING is beautiful, NOTHING, is beautiful.. I don't agree with that but he got the point of EVERYTHING :D
As for OBE, I've had an experience like that only twice and I couldn't trip on something because I was in another form of existence.. I mean I didn't pay attention to the objects, and reality was really strange, like an Esser painting..
