Rising Star
Hey all,
This trip took place about 8 years ago, and I have not stopped thinking about it since. I want to get it off my chest, put it into words and share it with everyone.
This was my second proper time smoking DMT, and I was with my friend whom I love dearly. The set & setting was perfect, and I was in a great space mentally. I was as prepared as one could be.
We started playing some Shpongle to set the mood and hopefully relieve some anxiety. I was of course super nervous, yet excited at the same time.
My friend held the machine for me as I took the first hit. I inhaled as much as I could, completely filling my lungs. I held it in for a good 15 - 20 seconds and then immediately proceeded to take the next hit. Before I could even finish this hit, I was confronted by a female humanoid entity. She had this really worried look on her face, waving her hands and shaking her head. She was telling me to STOP. STOP taking the hit. So, I listened to her. As soon as I stopped inhaling, her facial expression completely changed. She was now smiling, and looked thrilled/excited. She was taking me with her, and as she was taking me, everything became more and more intense, until I was "there". What we call "everyday reality", the place we all exist in every day, no longer existed.
This place had a dozen or so of these female entities. All more or less the same looking with shoulder length hair, some slightly longer. The whole place. including the entities, was filled blue/purple/pink colours. I could no longer hear the music. The entities were all dancing around me, and they were so happy. I was filled with the most love I have ever experienced. It was absolutely beautiful. They all deeply cared for me. We were all just lost in the moment. This continued on for some time, and then I could feel myself starting to come back to reality.
I could now hear the music again. This particular part of the song that was playing sounded quite scary/dark. It somewhat freaked me out and I started to panic a little. One of the entities noticed I was a little uneasy, so she started doing this super goofy dance to the music. It immediately cheered me up - I found it hilarious and started laughing. It was as if she was saying "Hey, don't take it too seriously!". As I was laughing, she laughed with me, and was doing this particular hand gesture as to say "Haha, I got you. Don't worry ".
The experience was really dying down now. As it continued to lessen in intensity, all of the entities started walking off into the distance, waving at me with their arms fully extended. It was their goodbye.
I was now back to reality. I remember being in absolute amazement. "WTF, HOLY SHIT, WTF, HOLY FUCK" I would keep saying over and over. I asked my friend how long it had been. He said 2 minutes. I couldn't believe it. I was left with this incredible appreciation for life afterwards, and honestly it has stuck with me since.
I've had a number of trips since then, and they have all been absolutely incredible, but this particular experience was the one that stood out. I haven't quite experienced anything like it.
What is going on? What does it mean to be alive? Why? How? DMT seems to take you to the core of that question. It shows you what it means to "be". It shook me to my absolute core. The most beautiful (yet terrifying) thing I have ever experienced.
