Rising Star
As we all know, a lot of times the journeys we take are hard to remember. We may remember snapshots, or bits and pieces like a dream, but as a whole it becomes more fuzzy as time passes. It's amazing how much you can recall by talking about it, sketching, and
My most recent experience involved seeing a wall appear behind my closed eyes, made of very organic shapes and curves. It was made up of eyes and mouths, each making an expression that seemed to mirror my emotions as "the fear" took hold and my mind blasted away from my body. At the final moment the mouths grinned and seemed to laugh as I "fell" into a room made of what I can only describe as wheels of color. Obvious fractals, but looked so much like liquid wheels of many colors (red and pink the most bright) applied to tiles. The tiles created a finite room. It was bright and beautiful, but also seemed very sterile. The was nothing of interest, no entities, no machines, no objects other that the room itself.
The only outstanding detail of this room was a pedestal that curved up in the center. Not that seeing such a beautiful place wasn't a humbling experience on its own, but we all have our Terence McKenna-fueled expectations. Not being my first experience I even have expectations. Hard not to when blasting off. However! Louder, and more lively than usual, the sounds! The beautiful sounds! There was the hyper melodic buzzing, humming, vibrating chorus of brainwaves and space travel. Wonderful! Then there was something I did not expect.. "WHHHHMMMMMMMmmmm m m m m . . ." And yes, I just typed that. It makes sense to me. The buzzing choir faded and I was submerged in a sea of dripping, echoed clock sounds, giggling (yes, literal giggling), whistles, and some sounds I cannot describe.
As the images sadly fade from my memory, I have to type them out to recall and refresh them. But the sounds reverberate in my mind any time I think of them. I remember them perfectly.
