THH acetate to freebase question

I was curious as to the best way to go about converting THH acetate in a vinegar solution to freebase (for the purpose of smoking it/adding it to smoking mixes). Could I just evaporate the vinegar to leave THH acetate, then add some sodium carbonate and enough water to moisten, then mix, and pull with 99%IPA and evaporate to leave behind THH freebase? Also, if this would work but there is a better or just different way, I'm interested in that as well.
 
Harmaline acetate becomes harmaline freebase when dried using a little heat. The same might work for THH. It apparently doesn’t work for harmine acetate though.
 
Yes, it would weigh less. I suspect it would also change color. But I don't know what THH acetate looks like. I know THH HCl is sort of white with a greenish or straw colored tint. THH citrate is also the same color, so I assume THH acetate is the same. I suspect that freebase THH would be whiter.

My guess is that, like THH HCl, THH acetate can also be smoked as is. Several trustable people claim that THH HCl can be smoked. SWIM has not tried it but it probably works. If it works for THH HCl I would assume it would also work with THH acetate. Why not try adding a few drops to some herb, letting it dry, and then smoking to see if that works. I bet it does. I believe THH is active at about 10 mg when smoked.
 
It is active when smoked as acetate. I just wanted to try the freebase for comparison. I'll try the heated dry and report back.

Interesting. So how was it tested for activity? Was it smoked on some herb? Was it harsh?
 
It was evaporated onto peppermint, passionflower and cannabis. The resulting smoke was hot but not harsh at all, which would probably be attributed more to the herbs than the THH. With the cannabis in the mix, it's hard to say exactly the effects, but there was definitely something there. The taste was funny though, not unpleasant but not pleasant either. This is based on only two occasions of smoking the mix. Each time approximately 5-20mg of THH were probably smoked, but how much was smoked was not weighed, so, that is to be taken with a grain of salt.
